I call the blanket picture Maria Burrito. She loves it when I wrap her up in this blanket and then pull hard on the end to unravel her. She thinks it is great! She is a very good helper. Today, we raked leaves and put them in this garbage can so we could move them to the garden. She wanted to put some leaves in the can but she was't tall enough to reach. I picked her up so she could place a handful of leaves in the can but decided it would be fun if I just put her in along with the leaves. She liked it. She stayed in the can for a while as I filled it up. She was also a big help spreading them around the garden. We had some straw to spread as well but she mostly just followed me around throwing it at me while I pulled up the cornstalks. Then she lay down in the dirt and looked for rocks. We got out the bike helmet one day because we were talking about bikes. She wanted to wear it but insisted that the strap go on her chin instead of under. It was pretty funny to watch her try to move it. What a face! She is getting so big! She is so cute that I just want to squeeze her all the time. When I do she complains by saying "Stuck Dad, stuck." She is very observant. We were driving some where this week and stopped at a light. When it turned green, Maria said "Light green." We have to spell things now if we don't want her to know what we are talking about. Although she is starting to be aware of letters. I had a shirt on today that says STAFF on the back. She walked up behind me while I was tying Shan's shoes and started pointing to the letters and saying different letter names. They weren't the right ones of course, but it is interesting to me that she recognizes that is what they are. Well, enjoy!

I like the Maria burrito too. I used to do that with the kids that I babysat and they loved it too.....except one time I was unrolling one of the kids really fast from a blanket right when their parents walked in, and the parents were very strict boring people. I don't think they were too happy with me. But the kids liked it! : )

Kathryn,
These lines are what I thought of when I read about those boring parents:

"They are so dry, like toast!"

"Exeno with the toast family!"

Guess the movie.

Pick me, pick me!!! I know the movie. My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I laughed so hard. I love hearing about the funny things Maria is doing. She is too cute. Do you kids remember when your Dad and I went to code words like "ic" but then had to try to change those too? It is hard when your children are so smart, or is that smrt? Frakin, aren't you glad we are not so boring?. Mom

This family is realllly wierd. I love it! I know what you mean Ethan. I think I could easily have squeezed all of you kids to death on many occasions. Maria is so darn cute. Oh I just can't wait, oh I just can't wait, oh I just can't wait till Christmas.
