The beach was made for digging

So this weekend I went to the beach with the young women in our ward, and we stayed overnight in this cool little beach house right across the street from the beach. It was so much fun! We went to the beach almost as soon as we got there, and we decided to dig a hole, of course-you have to. We pulled out our garden shovels- literally- and one three-foot long shovel, and went to work. It took us two hours to make our hole a decent size, but I must say, it was the awesomest hole I've ever seen. It was about 7 1/2 to 8 feet in diameter- no joke- and we dug a bench all the way around it. It was so awesome!!! And we piled all the sand from the middle up on the sides, so it kind of had a wall around it. When you sat in it you could hardly feel the wind. It also had a little ramp down into it so you could come in without crumbling the whole thing to death, and we really wanted to make a fire in the middle of it that night, but we didn't have any wood. Oh, and of course, when the priesthood leaders came that night, they brought a regular size shovel with them. : )
Then, that night, we played sardines in the house with all the lights off, and we had a blast. For any of you who don't know what sardines is, it's the game where one person hides, and then everyone tries to find them, and when they do, they hide with them. It was really fun.
The next day we went shopping at the outlet mall there in Seaside, and I was so proud of myself because I found a ring that only cost 30 cents. Weee ho!
Anyway, life is good and I hope you all comment on this. : )

Comment: Is the ring ugly? Why was it so cheap? Chris found some makeup for me that he thought I should buy because it was so cheap, but it was blue and teal eyeshadow.Cheap isn't always good. Hee hee......no, just kidding, it probably isn't ugly. What does it look like?

It's kind of bronze-ish, and it has a bunch of little square things hanging on it. It's cute- trust me. : )

Well I found some apples for free! Sure they had worms holes in them and big bruises but they were cheap! I chopped them up and made a few dozen quarts of yummy applesauce which I canned. So in this case, cheap was good. (I cut out the gross parts)
