Poem From Elise

Elise sent me some things in the mail and this poem was included:

Oh my dearest darling Mother,
I love you more than any other.
I miss you very much, it's true,
And I know you really miss me too.
I can't be there to grocery shop,
I can't be there to tell you STOP,
When you're about to buy a tie,
That makes my eyeballs want to die.
I am not there to do the dishes,
Or help Dad cook smelly fishes.
I cannot sing and dance with you,
Or make you branch out with your food.
But there is one thing I can do,
I'll send a note to get you through.
I love you Mom, and that's no lie-
I might have sawdust in my eye.

Love, Your favorite child-Weese
(hey, I only wrote what was on the note)

Also, the "sawdust in the eye" is a reference to when Joseph went on his mission. We were all at the airport and Ethan met us there straight from work. Tears were welling up in his eyes (he was really going to miss Joseph), and blamed it on sawdust in his eyes from work, but he wasn't fooling anyone. :)
