Hard to see, but there is a huge gorge here--a common landscape feature of Ecuador.

La Boca del Lobo restaurant that we ate at for Adam's birthday. Yes, that's a tree growing up through the restaurant. This was a cool place. The décor was kind of wild, as you can see.

Here there is no division between business and residential areas. It is totally common to see an industrial building with a house right next to it. These are houses I can see from my window.
