Pioneer Trek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! Weese is in the house with a new story y'all. : )
Dad and I just went on a pioneer trek with our stake, and it was awesome! I thought it was going to be harder than it was, but it wasn't too bad. I was a "ma" so yes, I had a "husband" and eight "kids". Talk about being thrown into parenthood. : ) My husband (Sean) and I were in charge of getting the food cooked or assigning someone to do it, and also making sure that our handcart didn't fall apart and our children didn't die. : ) We really only had one slacker in our family, so it wasn't bad. We sent him on the "looking for a lost child" expedition to whip him into shape. It didn't do much , however. Oh well. One of my kids pleasantly surprised me though. His name was Tyson, and he is one of the Welling triplets- all cute and popular. I really expected him to not want to work at all and just flirt with all the girls, but he actually probably did more work than anybody else. He was awesome! I got a chance to pull the cart with him, and I found out that he is really in to rock climbing and goes to a rock climbing gym every day except Saturday and Sunday. (THAT is my kind of man!!!!) It turns out that the reason he started rock climbing is because he went on the young men's high adventure two years ago where Dad was in charge of the rock climbing. He liked it so much that he bought all his own gear and stuff. Sweet, eh?
Okay, anyway, on to the rest of my story. We had to cross two streams and a seep hole, but they actually weren't that hard to cross at all. The hardest part was the huge, long, steep hill we had to go up. It took forever and it was REALLY steep. The rest was basically just flat.
The men had to leave on a "Mormon battalion" trip, and we had to pull the carts by ourselves. Honestly, it didn't feel any different. But that's probably just because I'm buff and fit. : ) Overall, it was a good experience and I had lots of fun. Oh! and my husband found a praying mantis on the first day, and put him on his shoulder, and he stayed there all day. He named him Rodriguez. Then that night, he set him on his shoe, and he was still there in the morning! He kept him for most of the next day, until he jumped off and got run over by a handcart. Sad. Oh well. Rest in peace, Rodriguez. : ) several other wildlife were found, snakes, frogs, lizards....... it was cool. : ) Have a happy summer!
