Contemplating the meaning of life before forging off into the darkness.

This last weekend, Joseph and I went spelunking with a few friends of ours. It was fantastic!!!! Up in Logan Canyon there is a place called Tony's Grove, and little did we know (until recently) that there are caves all throughout the mountain! We decided to explore one of the larger caves, fondly known as Polygamy Cave. Don't ask me why it's called that. Anyway, we went with Joseph's friend Teancum, and on our hike up to the mouth of the cave, we bumped into Hannah and Will, two more of Joseph's friends. They decided to tag along for a little while.

Joseph is going to kill me for posting this picture, but oh well. I look athletic and cool in it, so tough beans. He was complaining that he looked fat and had a funny face in this picture, so no teasing him about that. Hee hee.

Me ascending. I felt super cool and hard core!!!! : )

A picture from below- me rappelling into the deepest part of the cave. It was a 75 foot rappel. : D All the spots in the picture are drops of water coming down. It was a wet cave.

Over all it was a fantastic experience!! I felt really cool because I ascended and learned how to tie a water knot and a prussics knot. It took us quite a while to get through the whole cave and back out- we went in around 2:00 ish and came out right around 10:00. Needless to say, we were hungry- granola bars and fruit snacks don't really quite cut it for dinner. We went to Rancheritos and got a delicious dinner afterwards, and by the time we actually got home it was about midnight, maybe a little later. I was beat, but it was definitely worth it!!
