Cabbage Head Duathlon

We decided to do another duathlon! This time it was in Wiggins, CO. Good luck finding it on a map. I think there were 5 streets in the whole town. After the race, we wanted to get some ice cream at a local shop. No such luck. The only place with ice cream was a gas station. :( We had to drive the hour back to Denver to find a Dairy Queen!

The race was fun, but sooooo hot. On part of the bike ride, 2 trucks full of cows passed by. Because of all that exercising, I was breathing hard, but I tried not to breathe hard when the trucks passed by so I wouldn't have to breathe in too much of that "fresh country air". Both Dave and I were pretty sure that something wet splatted on our faces as the trucks passed by. Eew. I wiped (or wope, as Ethan would say) whatever it was off, and tried not to think too much about what it might be.

Here are some pictures from the race.

Before the race when we still looked clean and nice. :) Looks like Dave may have needed some help pinning his bib on. Ha ha ha! It's pretty crooked if you ask me!

Me after the race next to my trusty bike. It's the black one.

Still strong after 6.2 miles of running and 18.75 miles of biking.

Though we pretended to look happy and victorious, this is how we really felt after the race. Here's Dave being tired.
