(and ethan's too)
today is hudson's birthday, ethan's is tomorrow. we celebrated them both today. here is a picture of the birthday boys:
we made pies for ethan's birthday and cupcakes for hudson's. maria and hudson helped me frost the cupcakes . . . sort of.
i have been trying to teach hudson to say he is two when asked how old he is. here he is saying "two" (he can't hold up two fingers on one hand so we do it this way.)
hudson enjoyed inspecting the pies i labored over this morning. that little stinker.
hudson liked it when we sang happy birthday. here he is blowing out the candles. he was only allowed one cupcake but while i was cleaning up he snuck another - i thought it was funny though, because i saw him trying to put candles on it.
hudson got a tool set for his birthday. it came with the stuff to make a car or truck or helicopter, things like that. it kept maria busy all evening. she loves it. hudson chose to spend his evening playing with cheerios and a paper airplane. go figure.
hudson actually really likes clothes. he loves jackets and got two new ones for his birthday. i think he was most excited about the clothes he got for his birthday.
ethan got a book and a game for his birthday - not that he has time for either. it was a pretty good birthday and i can't believe both of my boys are getting so old!

Every time I see pictures of Maria and Hudson I am amazed at how cute they are. I'm sure I am not the only one who has noticed. They are adorable! I can't wait to see everyone in two weeks. Yeah!!!! Mom

have you poked on the one of the two kids with the cupcakes? you must poke on it and check out how wide hudson's mouth is open! it's hilarious. ethan and i love to look at it. it makes us laugh hard.

I've looked at that picture so many times! It's hilarious!!! I think it makes it into the top 5 best pictures ever. He certainly is serious about his eating.

I'm thinking that Hudson thought that he had a whole cup cake on that spoon and wanted to eat it in one bite. Wishful thinking eh? I love these pictures. Is it possible for either of these kids to take a bad picture? I also love Ethans dozey eyes in the picture with Hudson in the blanket. Man Ethan you must have the fastest blinkers in the West. Love Dad
