these three stories happened at breakfast last week
1. maria: hudson, do you know orange juice is good for your body?
hudson (laughing): whoooooooooo!
2. hudson was whining during breakfast because he was really hungry but couldn't poke his pancakes with his plastic octopus fork. i gave him a metal fork. he still couldn't eat fat enough - poking pancakes is really hard! - so he was still whining, and i mean full on whining, almost crying. finally i gave him a spoon but he didn't stop whining completely until he was beginning to get full.
3. maria (with a really sad face): mom, i want to eat more but i'm full - my brain says it wants more but my tummy says it's full.
this happened at church last week:
hudson had spilled a little water on his pants during the sacrament. he said, "uh-oh, hudson spill." a few minutes later i had my arm resting on the back of the bench. hudson looks at me then points to my armpit and said, "uh-oh, momma spill". yes, i was hot, thank you for pointing it out, hudson. actually, what i said was "uh, ya, momma spill," and put my arm down. sheesh, not safe even around my own kids.
yesterday i heard maria singing "follow the prophet" but in her version it's "follow the prophet, don't go away" (instead of don't go astray). that made me smile.
we moved hudson's bed into maria's room and hudson's room became the play room. now all the toys are just in the play room, no toys in the bedroom. i love it. that first night after putting them to bed and turning out the lights, i heard as i left the room hudson's cute little voice saying, "nigh-nigh ee-ya." it was so cute.
that's all i can remember for now.

Kids are wonderful! What would we do without them? Mom
I love these stories, especially the one about how Hudson said "nigh-nigh ee-ya." I love that he calls her ee-ya like she did herself. So cute!
Thanks for sharing all these fun stories. They are great. :)

How is it that our grandkids are the smartest, cutest (both looks and personalities) and most clever in all the world. Must just be good parenting. I just love them both so much I can hardly stand it. I really appreciate you posting all these things Shannon. I just love it. Gramps
