carrying on a family tradition

it's cider time! today we went out to bruce's to help make apple cider. maria had a blast! we thought great-grandpa henderson would be so glad to see the tradition passed to yet another generation - and on the same cider press he made. now that's cool.

here's maria tossing apples into the muncher.

bobbing for apples. maria braved the cold water.

tasting the product. it passed the test.

bruce hard at work.

maria placing a new pan to catch the yummyness.

here's a little side note for grandma nano: it's been drizzling all day! maria, hudson, and i were driving through town earlier this morning and maria said, "what a beautiful day." and again while we were walking in the rain from the car to the store, "mom, isn't it a beautiful day?" do we have a little denise here? i just thought you would think that was pretty funny.

Looks like fun. How did the cider turn out? I love that Maria likes rainy days. She has a little Oregonian blood in her.

Oops, that was Kibbey.

Yes! The rainy gene lives on. I guess you will just have to move to Oregon. I miss juicing the apples. Maybe next year I will come for the occasion. Mom
