More cool school papers- weeee!!!!

This story is a little interesting. We had to take a story about a crow and a pitcher and take three words out of every sentence, and then use those in the sentences in our story. Anyway, my mind ran away and took me right with it. Enjoy!

*Weese*

I had been wandering in the desert all day long, and was quickly becoming desperate for water, or some sort of refreshment to quench my thirst. My mouth was dry, and I began to hallucinate, reaching for some far-off oasis present in a hazy glow before me. No matter how hard I tried, the desert still had no water to give, and my despair grew deeper by the minute. As I sat in deep thought of what I would do if I ever found ANY water in this wretched place, a pebble dropped out of nowhere and hit me on the head. Now in a dreamlike state, I took the pebble in my hand, and noticed an etching of a pitcher on it. It was obviously full of cold water, because of the condensation on the outside. I sat and stared at that pebble for no less than five minutes, trying to decide what in the world it could mean. Then, in an instant, I had it! “If I just rub this thing…” I said to myself. So I rubbed. Nothing happened. I rubbed again. Still nothing. I continued in this manner for some time, but after a while, I began to lose my faith in the pebble. “It’s no use!” I wailed, “I’ll just have to die out here!” I hurled the pebble into the barren sand, and hung my head between my knees, just waiting to die. But then something caught my attention. A small sprout had risen from the stone which I had cast away in my eager haste to quench my thirst. It grew extremely rapidly, and was soon many feet taller than I. It branched out, and I soon realized that this was a tree, and not just any tree- this one was special. Evenly spaced around it were gloriously full pitchers of water. As I marveled at this magnificent wonder, another pebble hit me on the head. I looked up to see where these pebbles had come from, and lo and behold, I found a tree identical to the one I had just witnessed the growth of. I watched a drop of water fall from a pitcher on the tree. It turned into a pebble on the way down, and as soon as it hit the ground, it sprouted into another tree. Soon, it too had its own pitchers of water. I plucked one off, almost like a fruit, and had just put the icy-cool salvation to my lips, when… I awoke. Yes, it was all a dream. I was still in the desert, I still had no water, and……but then I spotted a sprinkler! I ran and jumped into its cool goodness, and attempted to drink as much water from it as I could. “What in the world are you doing?!!” I heard my sister yell. She was here too? But how? I looked up, water dripping from my crazed face. My house? I was at my house? “Uuuuuuuuummmmmm….. I’m just really hot.” I said. “Wow, that was a weird dream”, I thought, running my fingers through my hair- hey, there was sand in it! I looked around my back yard and spotted my little sister’s sand box. I walked over and saw the print I had left in the sand, and right then, an acorn fell on my head.
