Cool service project

We are doing a really great service project at school. Rachel Whitaker is in Ethiopia doing an internship for her major and has helped us make the connection. We are raising money to buy goats for orphans. For only $40 we can purchase one goat. They will teach the child to raise and care for the goat. sell the milk, etc. This very small thing is enough to raise them out of poverty and enables them to go to school and better their situation. I would like to purchase one goat as a family. What do you think? If each family gave $8 it woulg be enough for one goat. If we could raise $100 we could provide a sewing machine which would give them a greater income potential. Mom
