Pictures From Norway

Here are some (40) pictures from my trip to Norway last July. The fjords were beautiful, with waterfalls everywhere. We had a fantastic time.

We went to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. It was amazing!! Pictures are not allowed, but we took this picture of the back of the house, which is allowed.

The staircases in the houses are very steep and narrow so they have a beam at the top of every building so they can hoist items up to every floor.

They have bicycles, and bike parking areas, EVERYWHERE in Amsterdam. It was harder to watch for cyclists than it was to watch for cars.

This is the couple we ate dinner with every night. They were from England.

Flowers and candles left to remember those killed in the shooting at a camp in Oslo. We were in Norway at the time of the shootings, but we were south of Oslo.

Jennifer and I thought this was hilarious. It is an old rusty shopping cart that they pulled out of the water and it's on display in the museum.

This is for you kids.

They cut the tall grass in fields and lay it over wire to dry and create a type of fence.

The road zigzags up the side of one fjord and down the other.

I don't know if you can see, but there are lots of piles of rocks all over. We thought it was some special thing, but our guide said it was just tourists wanting to leave their mark.

A local hotel has turned this lighthouse into a honeymoon suite.

All of the streets look like this, very cool.

We thought these signs were funny.

Many of the homes have sod roofs with plants and trees growing on them.
