"Look Me Up"

This is a dress that I made with a couple of guys from my Dress and Humanity class. Our assignment was to make an article of clothing out of recyclable material, so we chose the phonebook. We called it "Look Me Up". This is the dress in progress.

After the first day.

Each "flower" is a phonebook page twisted into a swirly circle.

Believe it or not, the phonebook actually has a TON of different colors in it. : )

A flapper style hat that I decided to make the day of the fashion show. (We had a fashion show to let people see our creations and to get food for the USU Pantry- the "poor college student food center". I was the model for our group's dress.) I finished about 10 minutes before the show started. I was standing right next to the stage stapling it together right before I went on. Hee hee.

I think I used about 4-5 sticks of staples on this baby. : )

The ring I made.

The finished product!!!! : D

This is amazing!!! It's actually a very cool dress. Excellent design. Did you get a good grade on it?

Of course I got a good grade!! : ) Actually it was pass/fail. As long as you completed it, you passed. This took our group of three about 20 hours to finish. Needless to say, our fingers were BLACK by the time we were done.
