we are so glad spring is here!  maria has missed playing outside.  she wants to be out every day all day riding her bike, playing in her sandbox, and "gardening".  she even ate her dinner on the back porch tonight; it was a little chilly, though, so she had to wear a jacket and hat.

maria is such a good helper around the house.  she helps me with dishes, cleaning the floors, and laundry.  she's a good helper with hudson, too, although i often need to remind her that i'm the mom, not her.

i can definitely tell maria is a girl.  she changed outfits five times today.  she loves wearing dresses and wearing dress shoes.  she loves to sing and her favorite songs come off of the "elf" soundtrack - she doesn't call it "elf", though, she calls it "doo-bee-doo" because the first song on the cd says, "every time it rains, it rains, pennies from heaven (doo-bee-doo-bee).  don't you know each cloud contains pennies from heaven (shoo-bee-doo-bee)."  and so on.  she loves to sing that song and i love hearing her sing it at random times like when she's playing with her toys.
