Hey everyone, I know I haven't posted any pictures yet and you guys are all disappointed, but I promise I will have some pictures soon. We decorated our house for Christmas this year and Chris is soooooo excited because not only is this our first Christmas together as a married couple, but Christmas just happens to also be his FAVORITE time of year. He has been buying decorations, singing Christmas carols at the top of his lungs, renting Christmas movies, and shopping for Christmas gifts since the very beginning of November. A couple of weeks ago, he bought something that at the time, over the phone, he told me was a Christmas tree. When he brought it home, I began to wonder "Where exactly has the Christmas tree gotten to, and why is he bringing a lumpy bush in the house?" I soon discovered that, since Christmas trees were scarce and expensive at the time (being too soon to actually buy a tree on a lot) he had decided to get the next best thing- a potted, living Norway Pine bush. Hey, it's in the same family as a Christmas tree, so it pretty much is a Christmas tree if you ask Chris. He is so funny. In the end, we were able to put decorations on it (not too close to the end of the branch, it can't hold the weight of the ornaments that far out) and use twisty ties to reshape it so now it looks just like a mini Chrismas tree. Our little tree is loaded down with mini colored bulb ornaments, lights, and candy canes. It is very fun and I am glad that he bought it, although I was a bit skeptical when it first entered our house. We also put Chrismas lights around our big front window and on top of our cabinets in the kitchen (the cabinets don't go all the way to the ceiling) and I was able to get some fun pictures of Chris decorating (and even hugging) his little Christmas tree. Don't worry, he does not think that the plants in our house are the same as children, he just loves plants and is still excited to have real kids someday. (By the way, in case anyone was interested in knowing, we have decided that we want to have a baby sometime in the summer of 2008. So if all goes as planned- cross your fingers- I will be pregnant next Christmas. Weeeee!) I promise that we will never sign our cards with our names and the names of our plants, like Grandpa and Sue with their dogs. : ) I will try to post some pictures later when I am at home to you can see all of the fun going on at our apartment this Christmas season.
-Kathryn
P.S. I know it seems silly to tell everybody when we want to have kids, and I know it's not that exciting when I'm not actually pregnant, but we are very excited because this is the first time that we have really felt like we know when we want to have a family and what would be the right time for us. So it is exciting to us and you can be excited if you want to. : )

I think you should name your first child Katris--a mix of your names. :)

What about Isryn? Or Thrynch?

Hmm...here's some other ideas:
Chryn
Thris
Kachri
Mathnut (last names)
Kchrithyn
Karis
Kcahtrhirsyn
Yis
Yir
I could go on. I think this is a good starting point. ;) I'm sure one of these will work for you. Or you could name it after the word verification I have to do:
Uhljxar

Ha ha, I just realized that if you named your baby Yir, you could say the line from You've Got Mail...
"Thank Yir, ladies and gentlemen."
You know how he's trying to say 'thank you' and it comes out thank you're, but it sounds like yur.
Um, that was a random comment, I know.

I found a grammer error in your post! Ha! Look who doesnt know things now! See I am noticing man:)...when I am at home "to" you can see...
But anyways I like the name Frthkxhty.
Thpenther, Baub, Jaymz or Tieleur sound nice as well
How about Saxby? Ethan and Shannon didn't use it, so now YOU can! : )

P.S.- I think my word verification is better- oolzel.
